Through Rose Colored Glass

I've looked alot at these little people the last few days. Maybe in a different way then I ever have. Realizing in my mind every little thing that had to go "just right" for them to make it here is humbling. It has so little to do with me and everything to do with their real Creator. "He formed my inward parts; He knit me together in my mother's womb." - Psalms
He never promises us every baby will be "perfect." (from a medical standpoint anyway.) But I know "His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me." We have been blessed with 9 arrows and each of them have touched our hearts and souls in only a way your child can. Our quiver is full, but I do hope the Lord will have it stretch further in the years to come. We have had the priviledge of welcoming 7 beautiful babies, 2 whom were sick, and although different in circumstances, 2 now, who are with Jesus. So watch those little people of yours today, and remember they started out smaller than a grain of rice. Play with them, hold them, tickle them, whisper praises in their ear, kiss them. Because you were chosen to MEET THEM, AND LOVE THEM, and others were chosen to meet Jesus first.

My sweet gift of "Beautiful Grace." (the meaning of her name...)

Open Hands

"When God takes something from your grasp, he is not punishing you, but merely opening your hands for something better."

I read this today, and was blessed. Although not actual Scripture, I believe it's true. I need to believe it's true today. Thanks Stephanie.

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

"Baby Grace" welcomed "Baby Faith" into eternity this week, and we trust the Lord that we will meet them both one day. Until then, we hold onto Scripture for comfort, and know that faith will bring us through, one day at a time.

Psalms 27:13-14 says, " I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait I say, on the Lord."

Happy Half Birthday To ME!

Sophie Claire is now 6 months old and continues to be a bright spot in everyone's day. She loves her saucer and bumbo chair, and I'm constantly taking her thumb out and placing her nuky in instead. Aaauugh! She's a goof who loves to be tickled and is rolling and playing with toys to pass time in her day. She is a night owl and we are trying to break her of this habit, but we just can't give her up in the meantime. Many slobberry kisses to all willing participants!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

Maddie and Lexie were so excited to enter their very own homemade brownies, (Mudslide Brownies) in a cooking competition Friday. They took first place for their age category, and are thrilled beyond measure. They were graded on several things, including taste, appearance, uniqueness, and difficulty for age... It really was a joy to watch their faces light up with pleasure, when they realized "Grandma Judy" was right. They had won with this secret recipe. I think homeschooling has a chance now. :) Maddie informed me on the way home, that she's never gotten to do so many field trips and had different hands on learning opportunities! We have made it
to the Children's Hospital, the pumpkin patch, the zoo, the Heritage Center, and hope to make Cold Stone Creamery tomorrow! Yum!!
