Happy Birthday Hair Bear!

Harrison Grant Rivers made his debut March 10, 2007 at 37 weeks at 7 lbs. 4 oz.
He surprised us and let us know he wasn't quite ready to be pulled from the oven when he began having breathing difficulties right away. Mommy will always remember the Lord's goodness to her during that difficult and scary time. Mommy's good friend, Jill, gave Mommy a long hug and began reciting " The Lord is my strength and my Redeemer, whom shall I fear? " -Psalms
Hours later, when Harrison's lungs tore, and he went into bouts of SVT, (a dangerously high heart rate) and had to be shocked back into a normal cardiac pattern, he brought that verse back to my heart over and over.
After nearly two weeks in the NICU, he decided he'd had enough, and shocked the doctors and nurses and decided he wanted to GO HOME!
We've loved every minute since, and he makes us laugh all day as he makes his demands known. I love that he still loves his Mama, and although I love all my children equally, I do feel a special connection with the two that met the world with a fight.
I love you Harrison Grant, my brave sweet fighter of a boy. I pray you grow to love the Lord with all your heart and fight hard for His Kingdom one day.

Just Hangin' Out

Here's Sophie and Harrison all stylin' for their big day at home!

I love the saucer once my babies are mobile!

Eye protection is key around here when drinking a bottle.

My lil' girls are so sweet together now.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

The Irish we're eating good at our house tonight!
We enjoyed eating a traditional dinner of corned beef and cabbage with all the fixin's along with green koolaid and decorated sugar cookies, which is traditional Cannaday style, and I got to try our my new crockpot. I love it!
Hope you had a great Green Day!
