Let Freedom Ring!

"My country tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing,
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrim's pride,
From every mountainside,
Let freedom ring."

The children are involved in a kid's choir at church and they gave us a performance during our church's patriotic service last Sunday. They were all so cute in their red, white, and blue! They sang their hearts out while waving those flags. I pray all of our children grow to love their country and what and Who it was founded upon originally and fight for freedom, because freedom is never free.

Sweet Sundays

The girls are growing up fast, and I keep saying that my matching days are coming to an end, but I'm hanging on till the end! I've found that the older girls don't mind matching Sophie, and Keilah Grace likes to coordinate. Ya, she's three.

I'm having fun with the piggy spouts on Tophie's head and don't you just wish summer would last forever? I love the clothes, the colors, the flowers, the warm air on my face, and the smoothies. Yep, They're next!

It's My Party!

Here's a birthday girl pic from last week. The day ended up being really suny and hot by late afternoon, and the kids suprised me with sweet cards and homemade trinkets made out of odds and ends around the house.

Jared came home with a pink rosebush which I'll try my best to keep alive for the winter although in my defense, it's not made for our zone. The kids also called Jared all by themselves and had him pick up Brats and Dairy Queen ice cream cake. They told him it was my favorite! Ha! Well, it was good, and Jared did get to take me out to dinner with friends last Friday for my birthday at Paradiso!
Thanks to all my friends for their gifts, calls, and cards. I feel very blessed to have each of you in my life!

Space Alien Spaz

Here we are once again at Space Aliens a few weeks ago when my friend, Becca was here. 9 kids ate free between the three adults! Yippee!

On a more pitiful note, Keilah Grace still remembered her last visit where the walking alien walks around and waves at kids. Can. I. say. terrified. If it weren't so terribly cute it would really be a sad sight. You have to feel bad for her in this last picture We finally had her sit alone so we could eat, and here's how she sat for most of the evening. I just love this girl! Not a bad guy next to me either! :)
