This year, bless his heart, Jared shopped ahead of time for me for Valentine's Day.
Hold The Phone Joan. (Not really, Joni.) - That's my mother in law. :) Hi there.
But he did. He didn't forget, he didn't remember two minutes before he got home, and rush to the uummm.... gas station for a flower. ( Not that those aren't nice some days too ladies.) But I hope you get what I'm saying here. It's nice not to be an afterthought, and he really did it this year. He thought of me when he saw something he thought I would like, and I did! And it was wrapped with real wrapping paper. I about died. And then I opened it with glee. - Notice Austin's face here. HA! What a cornball.
It's the cutest wooden sign that says, "Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, and Speak Kindly" I found the greatest spot for it too. I'll show ya sometime. All of that, and a card to boot, which by the way, led Maddie to ask, "What's sexy?" Oh my, the one time I get a "questionable card" and my eight year finds it. Ooops. I pretended not to hear for now...
The flowers were not part of Valentines Day, but I about fell over the second time they showed up at the door.
In case you're wondering this is not normal behavior... But I'm good with it. I just wondered who died at first, and how and when he was going to tell me when he got home...
The first batch of flowers came home with him on a Monday, over two weeks ago, and they still look amazing! I heart fresh flowers! They make me feel all summery inside.
The point of this post is not to brag on my man, although he did do good don't you think? Or to bring to light the forgotten Valentines, but to remind myself that it is the thought that counts in the end. And I think he almost outthought himself this year. I heart him too.
