Let Freedom Ring!

Ok, it's almost 2 months late, but better late than never right?

We had a fabulous time over the fourth of July, and were able to get lots of laughs in over fun games and yummy food!

Here's the cousin picture for the year. I took about ten, and this is the best one. Most of the lil' heads are looking up anyway.

Gonki derived from Lexie, which appparently is hard to say, and Maddie, well, Maddie became Gonki too, shortly after Lexie did.

Now we all lovingly refer to the big girls as Gonki in honor of Sophie's new name for her big sisters.

Why am I sharing this you ask? I don't really know, except that I use this blog as a scrapbook for me to remember all the cute, sweet, and sometimes weird things my children come up with. I think this qualifies as all three in one - don't you?

What nicknames have stuck with your family over the years?

Me and my Dad

Well, it's a bit overdue, but this is the last of the time we spent with my Dad and Malinda over a shortened trip in June.

Sadly, my Dad's mom passed away while she was here, and they had to get back home for her funeral. It was hard because of course, we only see them once a year at best, and it was under such hard circumstances, but we all made the best of the little time we had together.

This is our last of the two days we had together. It was a fun day for all.

My Dad looks sooooooooo much better this year than last year when we saw him. He's put on weight again and his hair is all normal and straight.

The kids sure love my Dad and he enjoyed taking them on a few wagon rides. Believe it or not, I remember some of those myself!

Typical that my children refuse to all look at me simultaneously and smile.... Aaauugh!
Nena is such a dear and takes good care of my Dad.

Grandpa treats us all to SnapDragon for lunch!

Sophie fell in love with "Gandpa."

My love

My sis Sarah. I love her too.

Sophie gettin' every last lick of that ice cream!

Noah and Brady being silly!

Keilah sure took to Nena!

Sophie blowin' kisses to Grandpa!

Givin' some sugar!
We miss you and wished with all our hearts you lived closer!

A "One Pony" Kind of Girl

This girl insists on having 1 pony tail every day like her 2 big sisters, and is so proud when she gets her hair all done up.

If it weren't on the vain side, it would be kinda cute.

Keilah Grace, you stole my heart 4 1/2 years ago, and that smile melts me every single time you flash it.
