G-Pa and G-Ma

Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit a few weeks back, and I'm finally getting around to posting pictures.

We kept it pretty simple just visiting and allowing the kids to get some good playtime in.

Grandma made supper for us the first night. I'm sure my family was super duper happy as it wasn't frozen or boxed food. HA!

We went to lunch at Applebees' one day while the big kids were in school as I was not that into cooking with my "hee-bee jeebies" yet.

And a visit from Grandma wouldn't really be a visit unless she did some crafting with the girls! They love it!

Thanks for driving up to see us. We love you!

7:45am

Yep, this is what my yard looks like alot of mornings.

Lots of tag.

at 7:45am.

Wouldn't you like to be our neighbors?

Just think of all the noise you would have to endure.

The fighting, the happy screamers, the toys gone all astrew...

I try to get the school children dressed appropriately.

The other children aren't so lucky some days.

At least they're diapered.

Well, most of the time.

When I'm taking pictures anyway.

The Norm

Ya, this is what dinnertime looks like around here.

Ewwwe.

Can anybody say bathtime?

Too bad my floors don't get the same attention.

Chunky Meets Poofy

I haven't posted for a while now at my Chunky Mama site. (http://www.twochunkymamas.blogspot.com/) I'm wondering if anyones even reads that blog?? I don't know if I should just post here and make it easier or if it's kinda nice to keep it separate. What do you all think? Let me know. I realize there are many of you who don't officially follow my blogs for one reason or another and that's totally fine. I'm just curious as to what to do and who out there really reads either one of my blogs. Aren't you all curious about who "follows" your life?

Here's me after my first 5k this earlier this summer. I had lost close to 20 pounds at this point. Still, I had work to do...
My hope for this pregnancy is to get back to that point right after baby so I can get back on the wagon train and get losing again. I had to stop running after my last run last week. Too many pelvic cramps and contractions. So I need to get back to Curves and try to endure some speed walking... I miss my running. Great stress relief.

The next two are at 16 weeks.

I've gained 5 pounds already, but feel like I should have a much bigger number to go with the size of my belly.

You know how you start to pooch out with subsequent pregnancies quicker? This booger is only the size of an onion right now, but must have a placenta the size of canalope!

That's what I keep telling myself anyways. For all you skinny minnies who don't show until you're 6, 7 months along - life must be tough. But I'm happy for you - real happy.

HA! I am just teasing you guys.

I'm so happy to be growing another baby and would rather be all "poofy" again than to be skinny with zero babies. I have much to be grateful for, and as much as I joke, I try not to take that for granted. I realize there are many women who long to carry babies and would give up there toned bodies for a "poofy" one in a heartbeat.

"In everything, give thanks..." Ephesians 5:20

For me, this means being "poofy" today.

Just Because...

Jared brought these home last week just because...

He's so good to me.

I've been a bear to live with the last 16 weeks.

Lots of vomiting, days without showering, pasty wife laid up on the couch, dust bunnies and scum everywhere... You get the idea I'm sure.

And he's just written me love notes and words of encouragement at least once a week if not more.

He's had to juggle frozen pizza, mac and cheese, and 8 sets of teeth to brush all while I hold the remote and hover over the throne.

He deserves something kinda nice from me huh?

What are your ideas?

The Zoo Comes to the Mall

We went to the mall last week for a rendezvous with the Red River Zoo.

They had different crafts and informational booths set up for the kids as well as several animals to touch and see close up.

My kids even braved petting a Corn snake. Who's children are they anyways?

I'm deathly afraid of all snakes. Pythons, Cobras, Garter snakes... they're all the same to me. Aaugh!

Of course, I'm very intrugued by things I'm afraid of. I'll watch any special on snakes or tornados. It completely takes a hold of me, but I'm so afraid of those two things. My nightmares consist of these two things since childhood. So weird, I know... But I was proud of my Sophie girl for petting that corn snake!
